I have always loved to write for children and have had fun writing and publishing The Paw Prints books. It was even more exciting to find out that they won a bronze medal in the Moonbeam Children's Book Awards in the category for best picture book series!

I grew up in Brisbane, Australia, then lived in London for eight years and now live in Singapore.  I live in a house full of books, chocolate, a husband and 3 cheeky boys.  None of which I could live without!

I am a primary school teacher and have been a member of The Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI) in London, Australia and Singapore. I have a passion for children’s literature and try to help young readers become lifelong lovers of books. I absolutely adore picture books and I love, love, love working with children to share the immense joy of reading for pleasure. I also love it when my boys ask for “one more story,” at bed time. My sons can be mischievous but I am very grateful that none of my boys have ever painted a dog like Eddie does in Purple Paw Prints...at least not yet!

I have always loved to read and write and credit my Mum for this lifelong passion.  I remember getting into trouble as a child for sneakily reading books under the table at school and for staying up late at night writing diaries and stories by torch light!  Books are a place where I get lost in the pages and forget what is going on in the real world around me.  The characters become my friends and their journeys become my own.  That is what I hope to share with children as they enjoy my stories.

The Paw Prints books can be described as 'ridiculous reality'.  They are about a boy, Eddie, and his playful dog Oscar who accidently leave a pawtastic trail of chaos wherever they go.  Illustrator Jade Fang and I hope that our books spark children's imagination and let them laugh and wonder as they get lost in the pages. I am pleased that I have been able to donate some of the proceeds to some really fantastic charities including Room to Read, The Indigenous Literacy Foundation, The Hard Places Community, aprons4action, Singapore Children's Society, Mumbai Mobile Crèches and the Red Cross.  In addition if you know of any organisation that is in need of children's books please contact me and I would be only too happy to send some copies.
